After reviewing our candles, explore how to properly maintain them according to proper care guidelines.

First Burn: When you receive your Jess' Ember candle, is important to let it burn for about 2-4 hours, depending on the size. Ensure the entire surface layer burns completely.

Burn Time: After the first burn, we recommend no more than 4 hours of burn time. This is for safety purposes and ensures a clean burn and helps with candle longevity. It is recommended to periodically rotate your candle, most surfaces are not even. Also, try to keep your candle from drafts and fans to help maintain an even burn

Wick Care: Jess' Ember wicks are flat cotton wicks braided with a thin paper thread layer. Keep your wick trimmed to 1/4" in length to help reduce soot. If your wick is too long, your candle will flicker and produce more soot towards the end of the candle.

Do Not: Most importantly, Keep candles out of reach of children and pets. Although our candles smell amazing, do not be deceived; they are not for consumption.
